The lever is paired with the updated BR-M8200 two-piston post-mount caliper for weight savings while prioritizing stopping power and control on rougher, steeper trails. The BL-M8200 lever features a new closer pivot point that follows the natural arc of your finger, while the dialed reach adjust puts the rider in a natural position to attack technical sections of trail. Updated hose routing offers a clean aesthetic, and I-SPEC EV compatible mount gives riders a wider adjustment range. The 2-piston caliper features a solid aluminum body construction to emphasize durability. The redesigned SERVO WAVE optimizes the power curve and manages pad-to-rotor friction throughout the lever pull for better balanced braking. Revised finned metal pads and oval mount eliminate unnecessary noise, while heat resistant resin pistons provide reliable performance. Shimano low viscosity mineral oil creates a reliable and strong power curve in all temperatures and terrains. Shimano RT-CL900 or RT-CL800 rotors are recommended for use with this brake system (sold separately).
